Dancers Who Thrive
Unlock the Power of
Dance Science &
Dance Medicine
to build their Resilience, Prevent Injuries, and Elevate their Performance
And sometimes you walk into the studio carrying a quiet weight on your shoulders. You see injuries repeating, motivation fading, fatigue and frustration building — and you ask yourself:
“Could this have been prevented?”
You correct technique, but part of you wonders: “Is this biomechanically safe? What do I need to do to make it safe?” or "Why is this dancer stuck and development seems to go backwards instead of getting better?"
You’re expected to deliver high-level performance, meet artistic demands, and push excellence, under pressure yourself — but your dancers don't develop the way they should, and you don't know why or how to support them, while silently fearing that one wrong correction, or pushing harder will increase fatigue or injuries which you see are already in the making...
You feel the pressure and an inner need to know more — about anatomy, biomechanics, injury prevention, mental health —
but no one ever gave you a clear, structured framework designed for you and your needs.
You know there is science out there, available. But science feels distant, abstract, or disconnected from the studio reality and all praxis. And too often, you’re left alone with decisions that carry real consequences.
You don’t doubt your dedication. But you have started to doubt whether your tools are still enough to guide your dancers towards their best performance and keep them healthy.
And the hardest part?
Watching talented dancers struggle — physically or mentally —
while knowing you want to help… but aren’t always sure how.
You step into the studio — calm, grounded, and confident.
You understand why and how movements work and training goals can be achieved — anatomically, biomechanically, neurologically.
Your corrections are no longer based on memory, guesswork, or tradition alone —
they’re rooted in evidence-based dance science and preventive dance medicine and can support the individual dancer.
Injuries decrease.
Performance becomes consistent. Motivation peaks. Dancers move with strength, confidence, awareness.
When a dancer struggles, you know how to intervene —
physically, mentally, pedagogically.
You speak the same language as physiotherapists and doctors, you can exchange and connect. Collaboration replaces confusion.
Your dancers trust you — not just as a teacher or choreographer,
but as someone who can really protect them.
Parents, management, colleagues, dancers, audiences see you as modern and informed, as a leader shaping the future of dance education.
Most importantly…
You go home knowing, deep down: “I am helping — not harming.”
You are no longer just creating performers and performances.
You are building healthy, resilient, strong dancers.
That’s legacy.
You become the person who:
• Guides, educates, teaches & trains with clarity instead of doubt
• Balances artistry and health without compromise
• Protects dancers with knowledge, not luck
• Leads with confidence, not fear
• Bridges tradition and science
• Shapes a sustainable, humane dance culture
Not just a teacher.
Not just a choreographer.
A guardian of dancer health, potential & future.

A much-heralded course and a world-renowned lecturer:
Enjoy "Us&OurBest" with Dr. Judith-Elisa Kaufmann. Hundreds of videos, hours of theory and praxis ready for you to apply to your daily routines, audios, thousands of pages of scripts, tasksheets, worksheets, quizzes and literature for download. And our wonderful community with people like you — waiting for you to enjoy collaborative learning.
Science of Training
4 Lectures are dedicated to essential information on science of training. Among the topics covered are fitness for dancers, training principles, planning of training, nutrition, or (neuromuscular) warm-up and cool-down. We are going to take a look at how all these aspects are interrelated, but also, how they are depending on your knowledge and proactive implementation of all you are learning in other lectures, such as your dancers' self-talk, self-image, motor imagery, anatomy and physiology, and so many more.
Anatomy & Biomechanics
Enjoy studying with direct relation to dance praxis: In the passionate way she is known for, Judith-Elisa Kaufmann brings anatomy and biomechanics to life in 5 lectures: Experience the sensation of knowledge which you can "feel and use" every day. Everything you learn is directly transferred to your praxis, and you will love to realize the difference it makes to your work. Experience how powerful, fulfilling, motivating, and satisfying knowledge transferred to praxis is!
Neuroscience & Psychology
Mental strength, thought- and stress-management, resulting resilience and levels of mental health count among the most important assets in your dancers. However, research has shown how low mental health is in so many of them. But you can change that. Let's look at learning, coping skills, eating psychology, self-determination, goal setting, communication, conflict managment, or motivation together from a preventive point of view: how can you deal with performance anxiety, stress, perfectionism, negative self-talk, limiting beliefs, or low self-image in your dancers?
Prevention & First Aid
Prevention of injuries and overtraining is a top priority in dance and thus, one of the two aspects, Us&OurBest is dedicated to (the other is to guide your dancers to their personal best!). Several lectures cover essential knowledge on handling of pain, rest, workload, first aid for acute injury, and the importance of self-care, rehabilitation, recovery, and prevention of overuse. Investing in self-care and prevention is one of the smartest things you can teach your dancers — and we show you how!
